Summer Fun drifting away

A fleeting Summer.  That has truly what it has been.  The end of May, always holds such glorious promise of "fun in the Sun" to come and in a blink its over.

But one great way to remember the gloriousness of Summer is by popping open one of these jars on a frosty, chilly winter morning.  "In a Pickle" foods local small company which produces jams seasonally, in small batches.

And Strawberry Vanilla.  When that jam dances on the tip of your tongue, you will remember the fresh Strawberries that you had at a picnic in warmer days, this past Summer.  So stock up now, these jars will be gone soon, just like this Summer.

The Summery light colors in the store (above) are now turning darker and richer, as we begin to put our Fall merchandise out.

Fabulous Fall foliage that help bring the color of the season into your home.  And we are still loving burlap!  And its such a great neutral and mixes well with everything.  We love the weathered wood and woven texture on this lovely burlap bench.  Fabulous in an entry way or even a dining area.  So many possibilities.

And lets not forget…even though summer toesies will soon be stuffed into socks and boots, they will still need pampering care.  Spongelle' can help!  All USA made and designed to pamper.  Newly arrived in the store are infused spongettes (great for feet) and body buffers.  Coconut Verbena is just one of the lovely tropical scents that will take you back to Summer.  These are going to make great stocking stuffers as well.

And last, but not least, one of my favorites.  These little rings don't look like much now….

…but chalk in your guest name, add a napkin and a sprig of greenery and you have the perfect place card marker.  When the party is over, erase with a soft cloth, to use again and again.  We have ours dressed for summer, but it can easily be changed to Fall or Christmas.  I think these will be lovely with a bit of Christmas greenery and a pretty white napkin.

New Fall things are arriving soon.  Come see the shop as change seasons and say goodbye to summer.
